Innovative Teen Turns Small Gifts Into Big Impact

“I am honored to have the work I do for my partner nonprofits like First Nations be recognized by such a respected organization,” says the 18-year-old Dollar Donations founder. Jacob says that AFP has more than 26,000 members in over 240 chapters and annually raises over $100 billion for a wide variety of charitable organizations and causes across the globe.

Batty for Bats

A group of over 125 high school students participated in the service-learning project Batty for Bats. Ms. Hall led instruction in philanthropy and service-learning to help her students make real, meaningful connections to the community through the Learning to Give lessons In My Own Backyard and Understanding Advocacy.

Tucson teen philanthropy group gives $25,000 to nonprofits — so far

The students belong to 100+ Teens Who Care Tucson, the brainchild of 17-year-old Gregory School junior Lily Messing.

The group has given nearly $25,000 to local nonprofits since Messing, inspired by local nonprofit 100+ Women Who Care about Tucson, started it in 2020

Newton teen combines love of writing, philanthropy

At age 15, Abby Richmond of Newton has been volunteering and donating to charities for more than half her life.

​Her most recent philanthropic effort is her fourth self-published book, “The Bell Sisters’ Discovery,” which has raised more than $800 since it was released last fall.
